Container Skel Trailer

Experience the future of container transport with Midland's Retractable Skel Trailers. As an Australian-owned and operated company, we take pride in our expertise and the wide range of solutions we offer.

Retractable Skel Trailers

Transport a variety of container types with our range of Skel trailers

Our Skel Trailer range embodies durability, flexibility and innovation. Utilising Australian steel, these trailers are designed to meet the demands of various sectors and for several purposes. Australian ports handled 9.1 million TEUs in 2024–25 (BITRE Waterline), with skeletal trailers the primary road vehicle moving containers between port terminals and distribution centres. Our Skel Trailers are designed to carry heavy loads of up to 55 tonnes (depending on the build) and have different hitch options. Despite a large ATM (Aggregate Trailer Mass), these trailers are still able to easily manoeuvre through tight spaces.

Loading and unloading couldn’t be easier on our range of Skel Trailers. No matter which type of Skel Trailer you choose, our trailers come with up to 4-way container pins and the optional add-on of side loader pads. This ensures you can save valuable time in your operations.

Custom-built Skel Trailers

Container Skel Trailers are specialised for standard container transport, these trailers are built for stability and strength, ensuring secure and efficient container handling.

Retractable Skel Trailers offer adaptability and can accommodate containers of various sizes. They feature a tried and proven retractable skate mechanism and many customisation options.

Ready-to-Go In-Stock Skel Trailers

For those requiring immediate trailer solutions, Midland offers a selection of in-stock Skel Trailers. These trailers are designed for specific use but are also pre-built and are available for quick delivery, allowing for rapid deployment into your operations, ensuring you don’t miss a beat in your business.  It’s worth checking out which Skel Trailers we currently have in stock to see if there’s something that will fit your logistic requirements.
